BREAKING NEWS - Terminal Labor Shortage 04.30.2008
Long Beach and Los Angeles Terminals – May 1, 2008

Long Beach and Los Angeles terminal operators are reporting that labor has failed to report to work today. This comes after much speculation that the ILWU workers would refuse to work, in protest of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

As of 8:30am today, none of the terminal operators had the labor to release containers.

We will update to this situation, at 1:00 pm today.
