Nova Rate Changes 07.02.2010

To our valued customer;
First and foremost Nova CFS would like to thank you for your continuing support. The last several years have been very challenging to say the least and we are very pleased to remain an important part of your supply chain.
The costs involved with operating a full service Container Freight Station have increased dramatically over the past two years. Until recently, we have been able to offset these increases by maximizing efficiencies and through aggressive control of vendor costs. This has been a point of pride for Nova CFS. Unfortunately, these costs have now grown to a point where they can no longer be offset by efficiencies, and the vendor costs have nearly doubled in many instances.
In consideration of the above, we believe it is necessary to increase specific rates in order to maintain the quality services you deserve as our client.As such, Nova CFS will be increasing our Inland destination based rates for all destinations by twenty percent. This increase will be applied prior to any volume discount. The current fuel surcharge rate will remain as is. Additionally, we will be changing our forklift structure to a per CBM/800 lb. rate basis. The rate will be $5.00 per CBM/800 lbs. with a minimum of $50.00 and a maximum of $250.00. These rates also represent an increase over previous forklift rates. However, it should be noted that the previous forklift rates have been in place and unchanged since the early 1990’s. Considering our thirty day notification policy, these increases will be effective August 2, 2010. Inland freight departing Nova 8/2/2010 will be included in the new pricing structure.
We understand that accepting any rate increase is difficult and hope you understand that these increases are truly necessary.
